Nau mai, haere mai, welcome to EyeContact. You are invited to respond to reviews and contribute to discussion by registering to participate.

EyeContact encourages spirited discussion about art and visual culture.

Readers are invited to respond to reviews and ongoing conversations by leaving comments or posting new critiques.

To make a comment, please register to the right and display your real name including both first and surname. Your e-mail address will not be published.

This insistence on proper names is to minimize personal abuse, waffle and shameless self-promotion. Contributors are asked also to avoid offensive language and gratuitous sexual terms, not for any reasons of moral high ground, but simply because of pragmatics. We want the site to be welcoming as an educational resource so it can increase its audience.

EyeContact is about you looking at this screen - and art that is usually visual. It is also about direct talk, like two people speaking face to face, having pithy opinions and expressing them in ways that are entertaining and concise.

Although it talks of commitment and being serious, EyeContact is not actually about being right or wrong. Rather this forum is about the pleasures of debate and participating in dialogue. It is about the joy of articulating thought and responding to stimulating company.
